Railway Recruitment Exams: An Overview

Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) exams cover a wide spread of posts, from technical engineering roles to non-technical popular categories, and the exact stages — computer-based test, physical tests, and document verification — depend on the specific post applied for.

Because RRB exams are held for extremely large candidate volumes, the process is typically split into multiple stages to progressively shortlist, and even a strong percentile can translate into a very different rank compared to smaller exams with fewer applicants.

General awareness, arithmetic, reasoning and general science make up the recurring core across most RRB objective papers, alongside technical questions for posts that require a specific engineering or trade background.
