Formula
Example: Part A 12 correct/2 wrong, Part B 10 correct/3 wrong, Part C 8 correct/2 wrong (2/0.5 marks A & B, 4/1 marks C) โ total = 21+16.5+30 = 67.5
How CSIR NET marks are calculated
CSIR NET (UGC-CSIR NET) uses a three-part objective paper. Each part carries its own marks-per-question and negative-marking value, and only the best-attempted questions up to the prescribed limit are usually considered per part.
CSIR NET marking scheme
The values pre-filled above (2 marks / 0.5 negative for Parts A & B, 4 marks / 1 negative for Part C) reflect a commonly used scheme. Because this can be revised, all four fields are editable.
